Chung’s Martial Arts in Forest Hill has been perfect for my son. He is learning so much more than Taekwondo in class. He is learning discipline, focus, confidence, and perserverence, among other things. Master Matt and his team, including Master Jeremy, Master Shannon, and others, are knowledgeable and, more importantly, excellent instructors. They are patient with their students and thoroughly explain how and why to do each technique. They build up their students instead of breaking them down. They have inspired my son and many others to learn the craft and perform their best every time.

We are so glad our granddaughter attends classes at Chungs Martial Arts. They encourage kids to do their best and never give up. The classes are structured to teach skills while having fun. I can’t say enough about how much this has boosted her confidence.

CMA in Forest Hill has been amazing and professional. I’ve been taking my 2 sons here for the past month and they have been loving the experience. Master Matt is amazing with keeping the children focused and engaged throughout the entire class. They have programs to fit any families schedule. I am so glad we decided to enroll our sons here and I look forward to their growth

We’ve got three kids here (and I’m doing classes too) and the teachers are all wonderful and respectful and it’s been a great experience.

Master Chung and Kimmy’s instructor, Evan, are extremely supportive, intelligent, professional, and true Tae Kwon Do pros. From the very first class, they made us feel welcome and ensured Kimmy had a great experience. What really stood out was how encouraging, helpful, and kind the other kids were to Kimmy on her first day. It truly felt like a family atmosphere, and we immediately knew this was the right place for her.

We were so impressed that we decided to commit to a year-long membership right away because we knew this was the best place for Kimmy to learn Tae Kwon Do. On top of that, the sign-up process was completely transparent and straightforward, which we really appreciated.

All in all, we couldn’t be happier with our decision to join Chung’s Martial Arts, and we highly recommend Master Chung and his team to anyone looking for a top-notch martial arts school!

This was our son’s first experience with martial arts and I’m so impressed with how much he loves this studio and how engaged he is. His focus has increased and he’s much more confident. He truly loves Instructor Evan and Master Chung. They do an amazing job of keeping the lessons engaging and fun. It’s a perfect place for young kids to start. We love it here!

My son has been attending Chung’s for several months now. Instructor Evan and Master Chung are great with the children, thier system and instructions are great, as well as the atmosphere being clean and well organized. My son has taken to Taekwondo like no other activity he has been a part of. His attitude, manors, and level or respect has increased positively. He practices at home and works hard to achieve the next level. He obtained his white belt already, and is working/practicing hard to obtain his yellow belt. The app and YouTube resources are great for his practice at home, and has added more fun activity for us to enjoy together. I strongly recommend Chung’s over any other local martial arts studios (he tried another studio, but did not take to or enjoy as he does with Chung’s). Also would recommend Chung’s over other sports or extracurricular activities. We will continue to choose Chung’s for the unforeseeable future, as not only does my son enjoy being a part of it, but Mom and Dad are pleased as well. Thanks, keep up the great work in our community.

master jeremy is a great instructor and is very well with interacting with the kids of all belts in the classes

My son has been coming to Chung’s Martial Arts for about 2 months now. My son was having a really really hard time following directions, issues with authority, and self-esteem. Within 2 weeks I saw an improvement in not only the way he carried himself but in his spirit, his behavior, and mindset. I signed him up because I could see him becoming depressed and his behavior plummeting by the end of the school year. I just wanted someone to see the kind and compassionate Colton I know and believe in him the way I do. I remember the day Master Jeremy called him up to demonstrate one of their forms. Colton nailed it and when walking back to his spot I had tears rolling down my face because he was so proud of himself! Master Jeremy not only empowers the children but he builds trust with the children and adults. He is very approachable and kind. When he sees unacceptable behavior on the mat he holds the child accountable for the behavior and corrects it appropriately. I would recommend Master Jeremy’s class to anyone with children. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our kids! Your passion shows through them!

I have recently had another child enter the Chung’s Martial arts program and have again had the opportunity to observe Master Jeremy in Havre de Grace. I just want to make sure everyone knows what a fantastic teacher Master Jeremy is. I have worked and been around kids and teachers for over 20 years and rarely have a seen a teacher who is able to be so compassionate, fun and enthusiastic while also being firm, clear and fair. Working with natural athletes or kids with special needs or limited abilities, I have never seen him make any kid feel anything but welcomed, empowered, confident, challenged, and excited to come back.
I am so thankful my daughter gets the opportunity to be a part of this class.

My 8-year-old son is benefiting immensely from Master Jeremy’s patient coaching. He ordinarily has focus issues, but in a fun & disciplined environment like Chung’s, he excels at developing his skills and working hard. Belt tests are treated seriously. The students are told in advance what they need to develop before they show up for the test, and they are given good coaching afterwards on what may need improvement. My son is not internally motivated, but he has been progressing through his testing quickly with the encouragement he receives, and he’s constantly looking forward to his next level of training.

Absolutely amazing. We have three of our children at the Havre de grace location with Master Jeremy. He is patient, knowledgeable, and approachable. He handles any challenges he may encounter with grace and respect for his students. We feel fortunate to have him teach our children.
